Sam’s Uncorked
Invites you to our weekly wine tasting,
Friday, September 22nd, Noon to Closing
This week: California and Umbria in Southern Italy

Creamy, rich, toasty and well balanced perfectly define a delicious California Chardonnay from Belcrème de Lys. Grapes noted for their vibrancy are collected from the best North Coast, Central Coast and Lodi vineyards – then pressed, blended with a touch of Viognier grapes, lightly aged in French oak, then bottled and left on their side (with periodic turning) for final fermentation. The result offers aromas and tastes of tropical fruit, baked apple, citrus and a hint of crème brûlée on the finish. This wine is a delicious afternoon sipper with fruit and cheese, a great companion for roasted fowl and pork, and a tasty finale with creamy desserts.

34% Merlot, 33% Cabernet and 34% Sangiovese grapes, blended together, create a slightly sweet roundness, great complexity and balanced acidity in Vitiano Rosso. Dark red fruit, cherry and blackberry, dominate from aroma to finish, making this a food-friendly wine and a terrific value. Aging in French oak barrels adds a touch of spice in this delicious and youthful red wine. Drink it with pasta and red sauces, pizza, grilled meats and your favorite mac ‘n cheese. Salute!
